How is my postcard delivered to my recruit?

Modified on Thu, 05 Jan 2023 at 04:32 PM

Postcards are delivered to the individual base mail rooms every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Unlike regular USPS mail, taking 5 - 7 days to be delivered to the base, Monday Delivery uses 2-day services, including USPS, Federal Express, and UPS. All cards included tracking numbers so you know when they arrive to the base.

To make it easier for mail clerks and faster delivery to the recruit, we sort and bundle cards according to the recruit's specific (Division/Ship, Company, or Battalion) - meaning they get their postcards a lot faster than traditional mail.

Recruit addresses - to ensure postcards are delivered on time please use the following cut-off times/dates:

  • Monday delivery submit by Wednesday midnight EST
  • Wednesday delivery submit by Sunday midnight EST
  • Friday delivery submit by Tuesday midnight EST

Non-recruit addresses - if you are sending to a US address (including a non-recruit military address) cards will be delivered within 3-5 days.

You can choose delivery dates up to 45 days out.

*Training and mailroom hours may affect the exact day the recruit receives their mail. However, the majority of mail is delivered every day, within 24 of delivery except for weekends.
