When does my recruit actually receive the postcard?

Modified on Thu, 22 Oct, 2020 at 1:38 PM

Postcards are delivered to the military post office (on base) every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (see our delivery schedule)  Our system sorts and bundles cards per BN, Company, Division, or Ship (based on the branch) which allows the mail clerks to deliver within 24 hours of receipt.

There are exceptions to actual delivery times if the recruit is moved to a new address or the address is incorrect Or if the recruit is in quarantine.  Recruiting commands work hard to ensure recruits are located if they have moved to a new address, but not guaranteed.

Each card has a tracking number that will allow you to track the status and delivery of your card to the base.
