OPSEC & PERSEC

Modified on Tue, 23 Feb, 2021 at 9:11 PM

We know the importance of personal security (PERSEC) and operational security (OPSEC), so we have taken extra steps to protect you and your loved one's privacy. See our Privacy and Security Policies.

If you use Monday Delivery to write letters we require that you provide us with a mailing address. This allows us to complete your request to send a postcard.

Recruit mailing addresses are not considered classified information or OPSEC. Recruit training mailing addresses are public knowledge and classified as PERSEC. At Monday Delivery, we encrypt and protect your PERSEC information.

PII – Personally identifiable information is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context.

We use Stripe to process payment information for checkout.

Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available.

Although we mail your cards directly to the military mailroom, we recommend not writing anything that you wouldn't want anyone else to read. And for images - keep them 'G' rated.

We have compiled some best practices for writing to your recruit or active-duty service member. Don't be nervous about breaking PERSEC/OPSEC suggestions - if you keep in mind a few recommendations, you will be fine.

  • Avoid using your military member's rank, duty station, ship, or job.

  • Avoid sharing an account or social security number, addresses or phone numbers, or date-of-births.

  • Avoid sharing troop movement, deployment dates, or homecoming dates.

  • Ask permission to use images of other friends & family members.

  • Don't share anything you don't want anyone else to read.

If you have any questions, or in doubt just let us know by emailing support@mondaydellivery.com or starting a chat.
